Coimbatore: The PWD officers have stated that the Bhavani Sagar Dam park will be closed from 1st to 3rd January as part of the Covid prevention measure.
The Bhavani Sagar Dam park located in front of the Bhavani Sagar Dam owned by PWD is situated on an area of 15-acres. The park has sports equipment and beautiful lawns with various recreational features including a boathouse, swing, slide, Columbus, children's train, etc. Public visiting the park are allowed from 8 am to 5 pm.
With the Covid cases now increasing in Tamil Nadu, the PWD officials have stated that the park will be closed for 3 days from Saturday, 1st January to January 3 on the advice of the district administration. Thus, visitors and tourists are thus banned from visiting the park.
