Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Development Projects Across North and Central Zones

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja conducted field inspections of underground drainage, drinking water supply, rainwater drainage construction works, commercial complexes, school maintenance, and road-laying projects in the North and Central zones. He provided necessary instructions to officials during the review.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja today conducted field inspections of various development projects underway in the North and Central zones. During this review, he provided appropriate instructions regarding different development works.

The Commissioner personally inspected the underground drainage project works and drinking water project works being carried out on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board in the Park City area on Appanayakkanpalayam Kanuvai Road under Ward No. 1 of the North Zone. He also reviewed rainwater drainage construction works in Shakthi Road, Ramakrishnapuram, and Lakshmi Garden areas under Ward No. 20.



In that area, Katta Ravi Teja instructed concerned officials to relocate street lights positioned on the median of the road. This measure is expected to improve traffic safety significantly.



The Commissioner personally visited the Corporation commercial complex located on Kattoor Patel Road under Ward No. 67 in the Central Zone. He instructed that one shop be allocated for a fair price shop. This initiative is expected to benefit the general public considerably.

In the same area, the Commissioner conducted an inspection at the Chithaputhur Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School and directed officials to carry out necessary maintenance works and prepare project estimates accordingly. This will enhance the educational environment for girl students.



The Commissioner instructed concerned officials to prepare project estimates for laying tar roads in Rosa Garden, N.S. Garden, and Masjid Colony areas in the Ukkadham Pullukadu region under Ward No. 84.

During these inspections, several officials were present including Chief Engineer Vijayakumar, Deputy City Engineer Ezhil, North Zone Chairperson V. Kathirvel, Zonal Assistant Commissioners Mohanasundari, Ganesan, and Maheshkanagaraj, Corporation Executive Engineers Yogasithra and Saravanakumar, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board Executive Engineer Geethadevi, Councilor Alimabegam, Zonal Health Officer Rajendran, Health Inspector Jeevamurgaraj, Junior Engineer Jayinraj, and several other Corporation officials.
