Iran Israel US Conflict: Coimbatore – Sharjah, Abu Dhabi Flights Temporarily Cancelled

Amid rising tensions in the Gulf following US and Israeli strikes on Iran, Coimbatore–Sharjah and Coimbatore–Abu Dhabi flight services have been temporarily cancelled, airlines announced.

Coimbatore: Flight services between Coimbatore and Sharjah, and Coimbatore and Abu Dhabi, have been temporarily suspended in view of escalating tensions in the Gulf region following military strikes on Iran by the United States and Israel.

From Coimbatore International Airport, Air Arabia had been operating five weekly services to Sharjah, while IndiGo was operating four weekly services to Abu Dhabi. Due to the prevailing security situation in the region, both services have been temporarily cancelled until further notice.

Airport sources stated that affected passengers have been informed about the cancellations, and ticket refunds are being processed as per airline policies. Necessary assistance was also extended to passengers.

Officials indicated that services are unlikely to resume until the situation in the Gulf region stabilises. Passengers have been advised to contact the respective airlines or airport authorities for further updates.
