Back home in Coimbatore, the Coimbatore City Congress Committee is also on celebration mode and the 137th anniversary saw flag hoisting and sweets distribution at the party office, Kamaraj Bhavan in the railway station area. Congress party state Executive Chairman Mayura Jayakumar was present on the occasion and hoisted the flag.
The Congressmen have pledged to remove BJP from the throne and replace Rahul Gandhi in power, as their 137th Anniversary declaration.
