Coimbatore: Online classes are being conducted in schools across Tamil Nadu considering the spread of coronavirus.
Students of the Government High School in Vellalore, next to Coimbatore allege that a teacher was sending pornographic videos and talking obscenely to them through these online classes.
A computer science teacher who works at the Vellalore Government School, has reportedly been sending 11th grade students text messages on their cell phones and threatening to give them an internal mark only if they (the students) send a photo with pornographic words. The teacher also insisted asking the students to appear on video call and send photos.
The students also complained to the headmaster of the school several times in this regard and accused the headmaster of acting in favour of the teacher without taking any action so far. They also said that for the past few days the students are made aware of good touch and bad touch.
They also urged the Tamil Nadu government to take steps to educate all teachers about POCSO cases, good touch, bad touch and inappropriate behaviour.

More school students have been involved in the protest and police have been deployed for security. The headmaster, police, and district school education officials are also in talks over the incident.
