The city police have booked a private bus driver under IPC sections for allegedly causing the death of a 24-year-old boy by running the bus over him.

Prem Kumar, 24, son of Devaraj of Bannari Amman Nagar area next to Keeranatham is a CNC operator by profession. A speeding private bus crushed Prem to death while the latter was riding on his bike on Saravanampatti, Thudiyalur Road.
On being informed, the Coimbatore East Traffic police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Coimbatore government hospital for post mortem. They have also booked the bus driver under IPC sections 279, 304 (A)
Investigation is underway.
