Six students in Cheripalayam Government Higher Secondary School near Kinathukadavu have tested positive for Covid19 virus after which the school will remain closed for three days.

More than 750 students are studying in the Cheripalayam Government Higher Secondary School near Kinathukadavu. Classes are held on a rotational basis as per the state government’s order. Three girls and a boy tested positive earlier on Friday, after which the second phase of screening was done for classes 10, 11, and 12.
Two more students have been diagnosed with the infection, adding the total count to six now. Holiday is declared for three days for the students of classes 6 to 12 starting Monday, 20th December.
The students are undergoing treatment at Pollachi government hospital, while the health department is actively taking preventive measures in school in Cheripalayam.
