Two inebriated men attacked bus conductor Kaviyarasan and escaped from the bus. Kaviyarasan was admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Following this, government bus drivers staged a protest in Singanallur to nab the culprit.
Coimbatore: Police have registered a case against two persons in connection with the attack on a government bus conductor in Coimbatore. Government buses usually ply at night to reach the respective border depots. Thus, the second government bus was going from Singanallur to Ondipudur depot last night.
Three people who got on the bus under the influence of alcohol got into a dispute with the conductor. They got into an argument with the conductor to run the bus to Sulur. Following this, the bus conductor said that the bus was not going anywhere else and was going to the depot. The two enraged assailants attacked Kaviyarasan with the knife they were holding. Following this they escaped from the bus.
