The Singanallur law and order police arrested Vasudevan who was transferring the packets of tobacco taken by Mullaram and Govind.
Coimbatore: On 17.12.2021 at around 01.00 am, in the Irugur Ginning factory that comes within the border of Singanallur police station, Ganesh packed tobacco bags weighing about 300-kg and brought them from Bengaleru in a Bolero pickup vehicle numbered KA 02 AH 6245.
The Singanallur law and order police arrested Vasudevan, 65, of Ganapathy, Coimbatore, and his driver Rajan while they were transferring the packets of tobacco taken by Mullaram and Govind in a Maruti Eeco TN66AB8471 owned by Vasudevan. Vehicles and property were confiscated and they were charged and sent to judicial custody.
