ISRO scientist Myilsami Annathurai visited the Gothawadi Pond on Friday and was happy to see the water filled after 30 years in his hometown of Gothawadi. Mayilsamy Annadurai, Kowshika River Water Conservation Organization and Gothawadi Pond Conservation Organization welcomed the farmers who came to visit the Pond.
Coimbatore: The pond is located on an area of 152-acres in the Gothawadi area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district. Thirty years later the Kowshika River System, the Gothawadi Conservation Organization, on behalf of volunteers and farmers cleared the pond of encroachments.
At present the pond is on the verge of filling up as water is continuously released from the Chettipalayam, Vadachittur BAP canal.
