The school administration stated that it had inspected all CCTV footage of school with no such evidence seen and also handed the footage over to the police.
Tirupur: At a private school in Tirupur, a protest was staged by relatives and public alleging that a 5-year old girl had been sexually harassed at the school.
Parents of the child who is from Tirupur's Boluvampatti Road, KG Pudur Private Matriculation School had lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday stating that the child was sexually harassed on December 14.
Following the complaint, the Tirupur North Women's Police arrived at the school and investigated.
The child's relatives and the general public staged a road roko in front of the school, alleging that the child's parents have not been informed by the police as to what investigation is being carried out till Friday evening.
An argument erupted claiming that the police was delaying in arresting the culprit and that action ought to be taken against the school administration.
The school administration has stated that it had inspected all the CCTV footage of the school and that no such incident had taken place at the school. They also added that the CCTV footage had been handed over to the police who are conducting a serious investigation based on the parents' complaint.
