Muralitharan, 46, from Kotagiri in Nilgiris works as a history teacher in The Kizh Kotagiri Government Higher Secondary School. He was arrested for sexually harassing girl students. Twelve affected girl student victims lodged a complaint with the Sholurmattam police. The police registered a case and informed the all-women police station and arrested Muralitharan under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act.
Muralitharan, the accused, is lodged in the Coonoor branch jail after investigations proved the allegation.
