The Traffic Sub-Inspector’s civic responsibility in taking it upon himself to clear the gravel off the roads was commended.
Coimbatore: The Consumer Voice Coimbatore Secretary and the public commended a Traffic Sub-Inspector’s civic responsibility as he cleared gravel off the roads at Hope College junction which was disrupting traffic on Avinashi road.
The pit for drinking water pipes dug near the traffic signal at the four-point junction of Hope College on Avinashi Road on Wednesday night was left temporarily closed with gravel which had spilled onto the road. The Peelamedu Special Sub-Inspector of Traffic, Rajasekaran who arrived for duty this morning noticed that motorists were stumbling over the gravel on the road. He immediately borrowed a broom from a nearby shop and swept the gravel off the roads by himself.
Both the public and the Coimbatore Consumer Voice Secretary, Logu commended the traffic police’s civic responsibility. Logu reiterated that the public should come forward to help police personnel like the Traffic SI and encourage them.
