The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Coimbatore will close industries for a day on December 20, pressing for the intervention of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding raw material price hike. A national-level press conference was held at 11 am on Wednesday to convey the decision to industries across the country.
The Council has decided on a peaceful demonstration to be staged at the District Collectorate to draw attention to the matter. A letter has been sent to PM Modi on the rising concern and a conference was also held on 23rd June and 8th December on the raw material price hike.
The AICA has urged industries to spread the message and join hands to find a solution for the price hike.
