Coimbatore: According to health officials, a man who travelled from Singapore to Coimbatore by air tested positive for the corona virus. His mucus samples are sent to Chennai to be tested for Omicron.
The 42-year-old man, who is from Podanur, Coimbatore, arrived in Coimbatore on the 2nd by air from Singapore. An examination at the Coimbatore International Airport (CIA) revealed that he was not infected with corona virus. However, he is isolated at home and is monitored by health officials as he travelled from Singapore, one of the countries listed in the ‘red’, by the central government. He was diagnosed with corona virus a week later. Following this, his mucus samples were sent to the State Health Department laboratory in Chennai to be tested for Omicron. Results are awaited.
