Pollachi Municipality has 36 wards. The park site in Ward No.32, B S Arumugam Layout has not been maintained, raising concerns of poisonous plants and pigs frequenting the park. Over 50 families reside in the area and have complained about the movement of pigs and also dumping of garbage that poses health hazards.
The locals have demanded immediate action from the civic authorites to maintain the land for establishing a new park.
