Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister inaugurated the event through video conferencing and SHGs in Coimbatore and 4 other districts were distributed welfare assistance and loans on Tuesday.
The Coimbatore District Collector GS Sameeran distributed the bank loans and welfare assistance to Women Self Help Groups at a cost of Rs.41-crores in Coimbatore.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister MK Stalin through video conferencing from Tiruvallur, on 14th December.
The event was held at the Corporation Auditorium in R.S. Puram.
On the occasion, 1,068 SHGs in the Coimbatore district were given bank loans and welfare schemes worth Rs.41.31-crores. 12,816 members participated and received assistance.
The auditorium entrance was displayed with handicrafts and eatables prepared by women's self-help groups which the District Collector visited.
Self-help groups from four other districts received the welfare assistance as well.
