Minister Senthil Balaji warns of action against those insulting government officials

Minister Senthil Balaji said the AIADMK was expressing their anger as they are in fear of losing. He said action would be taken in future if they engaged in acts such as intimidating government officials with bad language.


Coimbatore: Senthil Balaji, Minister of Electricity and Prohibition, presented a letter of appointment to the District Collector's Office on behalf of the Coimbatore District Welfare Department for Welfare Assistance and 71 persons with disabilities to work in private companies.

He later told reporters that the Coimbatore District Disability Welfare Department had issued welfare assistance and an appointment order for persons with disabilities to work in private companies. He said that a house-wise survey of the needs of persons with disabilities would be launched in the Coimbatore district from Saturday and immediate action would be taken if persons with disabilities expressed their needs during the survey. He said the owners of the land acquired for the airport expansion would receive their requests and fulfill them.



Responding to a question on whether AIADMK legislators speaking ill of government officials, he said the AIADMK was expressing their anger as they are in fear of losing. He said action would be taken in future if they engaged in acts such as intimidating government officials. The government said 134 employees have been laid off so far based on complaints from the public regarding liquor stores.



He said that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had expressed his opposition to the Electricity Amendment Bill to be introduced by the Central Government and that the Chief Minister had written a letter to the Prime Minister stating that the Act was a question mark for the farmers and that he should wait and see what would happen next.
