MNM appoints Anusha Ravi as local body poll incharge for Coimbatore and Tiruppur

The Makkal Needhi Mayyam President, Kamal Hassan has announced his party’s task force ahead of State and Parliamentary-level local polls.



Coimbatore: Makkal Needhi Maiam President, Kamal Haasan announced Chief Task Forces ahead of the urban local polls, with the website for nominations also launched.

Anusha Ravi, State Secretary for Propaganda for MNM has been appointed as the member of the Task Force within the Parliament Constituency, ahead of the urban local body elections. The list of in-charges for the State and under the Parliament constituency has been released along with the website for nominations which has been launched.

The list of candidates for Urban Local Body Elections State Election Chief Task Force is A G Maurya, IPS (Retd.) - Vice President (Structure), D Thangavelu - Vice President (Field Work and Implementation),Priya Sethupathi - Board Member, Siva Ilango - State Secretary (Structure), Senthil Arumugam - State Secretary (Media & Communications),Sarath Babu Elumalai - State Secretary (Headquarters).

The members in the Election Task Force under Parliamentary Constituency are Anusharavi, State Secretaryfor Propaganda for MNM who will be taking charge in Coimbatore. Other members include S Shekhar - Lawyers Team,(Chennai Regional Convenor) – Tiruvallur, T S Sajish - State Secretary (Training and Skill Development), Prakashini Sivanesan - State Secretary (Research Division) - North Chennai, S Kribhakaran - State Secretary (IT Team) Sneha Mohandas - Mayyam Woman Force - South Chennai, V Vinod Kumar - State Secretary (Media Division), Shanmugarajan - Deputy Secretary (Data and Review)- Central Chennai, M S Sridhar - State Joint Secretary (Advocate's Team) – Sriperumbudur, SKP B Gopinath - Regional Secretary (Kanchi Mandal)- Kancheepuram, Arakkonam, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Arani and other districts.

On the recommendation of Regional Secretaries and District Secretaries, the State Election Chief Service Committee and the Election Task Force of the Parliamentary constituency will select and announce the candidates. The fee structure includes ₹ 2000 under the general category of Corporation Ward Councillors - 1000 for women, SC/ST with no fee for Transgenders. Municipality Ward Councillor - ₹ 1000 for General, ₹ 500 for Women, SC/ST with no fee for Transgenders. Town Panchayat Ward Councillor - ₹ 500 for general, ₹ 250 for women, SC/ST and no fee for the Transgender community.
