Pollachi: The Tamil Nadu Wakf Board Chairman, Abdul Rahman distributed Government Welfare Assistance to Islamic women during the consultative meeting held in Pollachi on Friday.
A consultative meeting of mosque administrators was organized jointly by the Pollachi United Jamaat and Economic Chamber. A ceremony to provide the State Government assistance to Islamic women was held.
Tamil Nadu Wakf Board President Abdul Rahman participated and distributed welfare assistance to Islamic women.
Following the program, Abdul Rahman briefed the media and accused the Modi government of being ignorant of people’s sentiments, especially in the farmers' issue. “It is painful that the Centre is pushing the issue aside and the Modi regime does not respect the sentiments of the people and farmers of the country which is unfortunate," he opined. Condemning the killing of farmers in the UP protest, he stated that the responsible people should be dismissed from power.
Commenting on the NEET issue, Abdul Rahman demanded that the Centre should understand that students find NEET difficult and hence it needs to be cancelled in the state. "The Centre should understand the sentiments of the people and govern in a way that suits the people," he added. He thanked the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin for recovering the illegally occupied lands and for his impartial actions since taking charge as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
