DMK Flag Hoisting Ceremony Kicks Off in Coimbatore for Party's Diamond Jubilee

DMK District Secretary N. Karthik Ex-MLA inaugurated the flag hoisting event in Coimbatore to mark the party's 75th anniversary. The ceremony aims to display DMK flags in homes and businesses across the city.



Coimbatore: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Coimbatore initiated a flag hoisting ceremony today to commemorate the party's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. N. Karthik, the DMK District Secretary and former MLA, launched the event by hoisting the party flag at his residence in Anna Nagar, Peelamedu area.



The ceremony, organized by the Coimbatore City District DMK, marks the beginning of a city-wide initiative to display DMK flags in homes, offices, and commercial establishments throughout the district. Following the flag hoisting, Karthik distributed sweets to those present.

Speaking to reporters, Karthik said, "Following the directive of our party leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, we have commenced the DMK flag hoisting ceremony across Coimbatore City District to celebrate our party's Diamond Jubilee. This event signifies our joy and unity as we display the DMK's bicolor flag in every direction."

Karthik further requested DMK administrators and volunteers to send photographs of DMK flags hoisted at their homes, offices, and commercial spaces to the Coimbatore City District DMK office by September 14. He noted that party members across the city district have enthusiastically begun the flag-hoisting program today.

Highlighting the significance of the Diamond Jubilee, Karthik stated, "It's a matter of great joy to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of this movement, which stands as a fortress for the advancement of politics, economy, and social justice. This movement not only granted property rights to women but also provided 50% reservation for them."

He concluded by emphasizing that the flag-hoisting event is being conducted with enthusiasm to strengthen the hands of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who has been rendering countless services to the people through the Dravidian model of governance in Tamil Nadu.
