Coimbatore: The Marutham Sports Arena organized the Marutham Rising Stars Tournament in January and football tournament and Silambam talent show were hosted.
The Marutham Rising Stars Trophy 2022 5s Football Tournament was held on 29th of January for categories, U-11, U-14. A total of 16 teams from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Nilgiris participated in the league cum knockout state level tournament.
In the under-11 category Raman Vijayan Soccer school-Marutham Sports Arena team emerged as winners with 2-0 goal against Tirupur Real Sparsh Team. In the under-14 category, Salem GMFC emerged victorious with goal 3-1 against Nilgiris FC.
A Silambam talent show was hosted in the evening in which a team of 22 Silambam warriors headed by Marimuthu Aasan, Chandran Aasan, Prabhu Aasan and Praveen Aasan from Freak Fitness & Sports Academy displayed their impeccable Silambam skills.
At the venue there was an ambulance on stand-by and a physiotherapist, to assist in case sports injuries occurred.
The programs were inaugurated by Jeyamani, Principal, Premier Vidyaa Vikash Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Muthusamy, PED department, Chavara Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
The winners were felicitated by Rev.Fr.Francis Xavier, Principal, Chavara Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Jain Immaneul – JMJ Housing Ltd
The hosts also thanked V.M.Shanmugasundaram (Former President, Vadavalli Panchayat), for being the guiding light in all our efforts. Camouflage Clicks, JMJ Housing Ltd., SVR Industries, Technical Partner : Raman Vijayan Soccer School, sponsored the event.

Best Player of the tournament - Rohith - Vijayan Soccer School-Marutham Sports Arena
Best Goalkeeper of the tournament – Prajo Cris from Real Sparsh Tiruppur

2nd place: Nilgiri FC coimbatore (Trophy + Certificate + Medal + Jersey)

All participants were awarded with Jersey and participation certificate. Lunch was provided for all the teams.
