The Regional Level Inter-College Badminton Tournament was held at Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College, Vattamalaipalayam near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore bagged the top spot in the inter-collegiate badminton tournament.
Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College, Vattamalaipalayam near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, held the Inter-Collegiate Badminton Tournament for the year 2023-24 at the college premises.
Ramakrishna Polytechnic College Principal R N Uma inaugurated the tournament by hand-in-glove with the players. Polytechnic college teams from Pollachi, Tirupur and Mettupalayam in Coimbatore region participated in the competition.
Psg Polytechnic College won the title. Earlier in the day, the team defeated Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College, Vattamalaipalayam in the first semi-final. In the second semi-final match, Nachimuthu Polytechnic College defeated Government Polytechnic College, Coimbatore.
In the final, PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore defeated Coimbatore Government Polytechnic College and won the trophy. Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic College defeated Nachimuthu Polytechnic College to finish third and fourth respectively.
College Principal Dr R N Uma congratulated the winning team and congratulated them. The arrangements for the competitions were made by M Ashok, director of physical education of the college.
