People from various states including Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat and Telangana participated in the event. From children to adults, competitions were held in the categories of single silambam, double silambam, middle pole and long stick.
All the 12 boys and girls from Coimbatore won gold medals in the event. They finished first in the overall competition and won the championship title and lifted the trophy.
