Coimbatore: A student of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (PSGRKCW) in Coimbatore, Niveditha V Nair bagged the silver medal in the 25 m standard pistol category at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2021 in Lima, Peru.
She was one among the two shooters from Tamil Nadu and the only girl to qualify for the Indian team. Niveditha V Nair is pursuing BBA in PSGRKCW and this is her second international medal after winning the bronze in 25 m sports pistol event in the 14th Asia Shooting Championship held in Doha, in 2009.
Niveditha's father who is her coach took voluntary retirement in 2017 from the Central Reserve Police Force to train his daughter.
