PSG Trophy: Indian Army and Indian Bank enter semi finals

Indian bank played their last league match today and defeated Indian Army by 72-62 in a must win game.


Coimbatore: Indian Army, Delhi and Indian Bank from Chennai have booked their spot in the semi finals of the All India basketball tournament for PSG Trophy at Indoor sports complex, PSG Tech on Sunday. 

After losing the opening game of the tournament, Indian bank came back strongly, thus winning two out of two and booked their spot in the knockout. While on the flip side, with two wins in the league, Indian Army qualified to the semi finals.

Indian bank played their last league match today and defeated Indian Army by 72-62 in a must win game. Gineeb Benny, Muin Bek and Hariram, the trio helped Indian bank to seal Indian Army who were undefeated in the tournament.

Having enough points on their side by winning the first two matches in the league stage, Indian Army though defeated entered the semi finals.

In group A, Indian Air Force and KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) have qualified to the semi finals. Indian Air Force from Delhi, winning all the matches in the league stood tall in the table and KSEB with two wins secured their spot, as well. 

In the first semi final, undefeated Indian Air force will play against Indian bank and Indian Army will face KSEB in the second semi finals.

Match 4:  Indian Air Force (76) defeated Income Tax (60)
