Coimbatore : The All India Basketball Tournament conducted by the PSG Sports Club for the past 54 years is scheduled for this year from August 9-12 at the PSG Indoor Basketball Complex.

Eight leading basketball teams across India will be taking part in the 55th All India Basketball Tournament which will feature eight Indian basketball players who are currently also at the Indian Camp in Bangalore.
The tournament is to be conducted under the league basis on the first three days where each team will play against all other teams in their pools with only the top four teams from the league playing in the knockout stage.

Winning teams in the men's section will be awarded cash prizes of Rs.1,00,000 for winners, Rs.50,000 for runners up, with Rs.25,000 and Rs.15, 000 awarded for third and fourth places respectively. The Best Player of the tournament will be awarded with Rs.10,000.
Teams have been divided into two groups. In Group A, Chennai – Income Tax, Delhi – Indian Air Force, Kapurthala – RCF, Kerala – KSEB will compete while in Group B, Delhi – Indian Army, Chennai – Indian Bank, Lonavala – Indian Navy and Chennai – Customs will vie for the honours. Almost all top Indian basketball players are representing their respective clubs in this tournament.
