Coimbatore : Media XI and the Times of India (TOT) are to clash in the finals of the Sri Krishna Institutions Inter-media Tournament being organized by the Physical Education Department of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. The finals is scheduled for August 10.

In the first semi-finals played on Sunday, TOI clashed against table toppers Dinamalar to clinch a a thumping win and secure their berth in in the finals of the tournament. In the other semi-finals, Media XI defeated The Hindu comfortably to book their spot in the finals of the tournament.
Seven teams took part in the inter-media tournament which was kick-started on June 15, with all matches conducted under the league basis. The top four teams in the table qualified for the semi-finals. Dr. C Suresh Kumar from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology and Dr. C Kumaresan from Sri Kriahna Arts and Science College jointly organized the tournament.

Semi Final I : Dinamalar 115 in 20 overs (Hitler 52 not out, Sathyaraj 23, Krishnan 15/3) lost to the Times of India 118/3 in 18.3 overs (P P Venkatesh 55 not out).
Semi finals II : The Hindu 108 in 20 overs (Alwin 34, Nandha kumar 25) lost to Media XI 109/3 in 18.1 overs (Tyson Prabhu 44 not out and Sajit 25 not out).
