The Singanallur police have launched a search operation for the gang that broke in to the house of a private company employee and robbed 10 sovereigns of gold jewels and ₹ 10000 cash.
Coimbatore: Mysterious gang fled with Rs.10,000 cash and 10 sovereigns of gold from a house in Coimbatore. The police have launched search for the gang based on the complaint.
Manikandan of SIHS colony in Singanallur area lodged a complaint stating cash and jewels were stolen from his house, with the Singanallur Police. Manikandan, (37), is the son of Jayaraman of SIHS colony. He works for a private company. Reportedly Manikandan left to his family’s native temple in Sankarankoil on the 28th, along with his family and returned today, 2nd March.
Babu, his neighbour, at around 3 am this morning, found that Manikandan's house broken-in and informed Manikandan and Singanallur police.
Police arrived at the spot and found that 10 sovereigns of jewellery and Rs.10,000 had stolen from the house. Forensic officials arrived and recorded the fingerprints from the crime scene from the house. Singanallur police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are looking for the miscreants involved in the theft.
