Raja, (36), who was a resident of Ambedkar Street, Koundampalayam, was killed by his wife and her boyfriend recently, which the duo framed as suicide. Police investigations based on the complaint filed by Raja’s sister revealed that the incident was a murder.
Raja was married to Reena for 12 years and the couple have no children. Reena reported to the Thudiyalur police that her husband had hanged himself to death on the 23rd and was taken to Coimbatore government hospital by a private ambulance. The Thudiyalur police registered it as a suicide case.
However, Raja’s sister, Mala (42) demanded an inquiry into her brother’s sudden demise. The doctors at the hospital also expressed suspicions in Raja’s death, post the autopsy, after which the police officers conducted investigations. The interrogation revealed that Raja was killed by his wife and her boyfriend Sathish as the illicit affair created an issue.
The police registered a murder case and arrested the duo. They were later produced before the court and imprisoned. The incident has come as a shock in the area.
