Coimbatore: DMK youth secretary and Chepauk- Triplicane MLA Udayanidhi Stalin inaugurated the camp for recruitment of new members in DMK in the district on Sunday.
The recruitment camp for the new members to join Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was organized in Kalapatti on 26th December, which the DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin visited and inaugurated. Tamil Nadu Minister of Electricity, Prohibition and Excise, Senthil Balaji presided over the camp. As many as 1,000 members including men and women above the age of 25 years joined the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Senthil Balaji stated that the party has over crore members so far and 24-lakh youth have been annexed with DMK. He added that the Chief Minister has created more employment opportunities in Coimbatore next to Chennai.
Udayanidhi Stalin delivered a special address at the camp. Speaking at the occasion, he expressed his disappointment over losing in the assembly election in Coimbatore. He said a youth recruitment camp is underway in Coimbatore.
Udhayanidhi stated that the party has saved Tamil Nadu from Covid and that they are prepared to face any further disease. “The Chief Minister has reduced the fuel prices and Aavin milk. Women have been given free travel in the city bus.”
With a target to recruit 10,000 people per constituency, 24-lakh members have been annexed. The DMK secretaries and in-charge have been given a target of getting 2-crore people to the party. He urged everyone to work meticulously to win the local body elections. He mentioned that he is not interested in the Chief Minister’s post and that he was a support to him.
Udhayanidhi Stalin demanded that the people here should not disappoint them once again in the local elections. He later took pictures with the new members of the DMK party.
More than 100 people including District Secretaries Payya Krishnan, N Karthik, C R Ramachandran, Pollachi Varadaraj and Pongalur Palanisamy, DMK IT Wing Mahendran were present on the occasion.
