Coimbatore: Reportedly unidentified men throw slippers on Pollachi Jayaraman as a clash broke out between AIADMK and DMK near Kinathukadavu.
Disputes escalated after the AIADMK MLA Pollachi Jayaraman was attacked with a slipper during a clash between the DMK AIADMK Parties in Kinathukadavu, near the Kothavadi lake.
The Kothavadi lake near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore has reached the brim after years and the locals rejoiced by worshipping the lake and offering Pongal as a thanks to the deity.
The AIADMK Pollachi MLA Jayaraman and AIADMK cadre were present at the occasion. A sudden argument broke out between some of the DMK and ADMK members, escalating into a brawl.Out of the blue, slipper flung upon Pollachi Jayaraman. Subsequently, he was escorted by police and AIADMK men and sent away in a vehicle.
Police have been deployed there following a hectic atmosphere due to the incident. The police are also investigating the incident.
