The partnership will deliver the city's first IMAX theatre, as well as the first agreement between the worldwide entertainment technology business IMAX and Broadway Megaaplex, which is set to debut in the spring of 2022.

In 2018, IMAX announced plans to open nine new large-screen cinemas in India. With the addition of new IMAX theatres in 2018, India now has a total of 40 IMAX venues.
