Coimbatore: The TN State Police Chief, Sylendra Babu who participated in the police athletic felicitation ceremony conducted a surprise inspection at the Kovilpalayam police station while on his way to Erode.
The Director General of Police C Sylendra Babu who arrived in Coimbatore on Friday for the felicitation ceremony of the 61st athletic competition held for the police officers made a surprise inspection at the Kovilpalayam Police station en-route Erode.
Inspector Sivakumar, sub-inspectors, and police personnel received the state police chief and were directed to constantly patrol to maintain law and order. The DGP instructed that the pending cases be closed soon. He advised the police officers to treat petitioners gently and keep the police station clean and tidy.
DGP Sylendra Babu also asked the police officers to conduct periodical awareness drives for the public on protection from flu and pandemic.
