Several industrialists paid tributes to Late C.R. Swaminathan who played an important role in Coimbatore Industry and Society development.
Coimbatore: Sudden demise of C.R. Swaminathan has left the industry fraternity in sorrow.
The contribution made by him to both the industries sector and society would be remembered forever, says veteran industrialists of Coimbatore region.
Kongu Global Forum(KGF), Founder Director, D. Nanda Kumar said, "To me, Swaminathan was a very good friend, guide, mentor and philosopher. He played a vital role in the industry, industry association development. Whenever anyone needs help he came first to help them. The Sudden demise of C. R. Swaminathan is a big loss not only to me but to the society. "
The Southern India Mills Association (SIMA), Chairman, Ravi Sam said, "Swaminathan lived his life in a way that whenever a person needed help, he was a person on whom one can depend upon. He was always be ready to help. He has helped me to grow in the social front. His sudden demise is unfortunate and a big loss."
Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) President, Ramesh Babu said, "Swaminathan's contribution to 'CODISSIA' is huge. During 1988 when we first started conducting the Intec Trade fair at PSG College of Technology campus, he provided all kinds of infrastructure and other facilities inside the college premises to ensure our initiative becomes a big success. Following the first edition we conducted 4 expos.
Mr. Swaminathan role further continued when we purchased land to build Codissia trade fair complex. Hence, in order to give him the recognition he was named as the Founder Secretary, CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. These are some of his contributions to Codissia. His contribution continued till last Friday when I called him to invite for Minister Senthil Balaji interaction function with industry associations. His sudden demise has shocked all the industrialists."
