Police have arrested a man who sexually harassed a college student by uploading a fake photo of himself as a woman on a social networking site in Tiruppur.
Coimbatore: Nias, a native of Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore district, has befriended various women by posting a fake photo of himself as a woman on his cellphone on Instagram. In this, he got acquainted with a college student from Tiruppur who was talking in a female voice.
He got photos of the college student after getting close to her. Nias, who received the pictures, morphed it into a pornographic picture and sent it back to a college student who threatened to spread the photos on the internet if she did not come for a nude video call. Following a complaint lodged by a college student at the Tirupur Cyber Crime Police Station, the police arrested Nias and seized his cell phone.
