Coimbatore:The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Superfast Special Security Force vehicle crashed on the Coonoor-Mettupalayam road, leaving three police officials with minor injuries. The accident did not prove fatal to the passengers due to the driver's quick action.
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin was in Nilgiris to pay homage to the army personnel who died in the Coonoor chopper crash along with the CDS General and his wife. Following this, special police were deployed for the Chief Minister's security purposes. The CM later arrived at Coimbatore airport.
The Tirupur District Superfast Police vehicle on guard duty while arriving at the Kurumbadi area between Coonoor and Mettupalayam road crashed with the wheel axle suddenly cut off.

The driver's ingenuity reportedly caused the vehicle to hit on a nearby rock. Over 15 police personnel who travelled in the vehicle were safe, with only three policemen suffering minor injuries.
