Coimbatore ranks 3rd in gold bond sales through post office

Coimbatore division, 2,824 grams gold bonds were sold to 96 people worth Rs. 1,35,29,784.


Coimbatore: Gold savings bonds were being sold from November 29 to December 3 at post offices across Tamil Nadu.

Of these, the Western Region ranks first in Tamil Nadu. Namakkal is first, Tambaram is second and Coimbatore is third. In the Coimbatore division, 2,824 grams gold bonds were sold to 96 people. Its value is Rs. 1,35,29,784. Uppilipalayam postmaster Suganya, topped the list by selling 646 grams of gold bonds. Its value is 30,94,986 rupees.
