The residents in the Madhukkarai area submitted a petition to the district collector demanding action against people for obstructing public pathways in the area.
Coimbatore: A petition was submitted to the district collector GS Sameeran on behalf of the people in Machampalayam of Madhukkarai.
Twenty families are living in the Machamapalaym in the Madhukkarai Market area. Arunachalam, Murthy and Kumaravel (Cable Balu) of Bharathi Colony are trying to block the route that is ‘disturbing the peace of the families’, the petition read.
In the petition, the residents demanded district collector of Coimbatore takes appropriate action against those who have been trying to block the route and to ban the attempt to block the route.
