The Coimbatore City Police have aimed to create Coimbatore as an accident-free district. As per the orders of the city Commissioner, the district police took on to educate the public in various junctions in Coimbatore who violated the traffic norms. The Commissioner of Police, Pradip Kumar has ordered the implementation of the triple E- Enforcement, Education, Engineering scheme.
The Commissioner of Police selected the main junction areas and declared them as “Zero Violation Junction" and directed the cops to create awareness among motorists involved in violations in the area.
The Traffic Police headed by S.R. Senthil Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, created awareness and educated the traffic violators at the Chinthamani Junction declaring it as Zero Violation Junction.

The Commissioner of Police, Pradip Kumar, participated in the event and created awareness among the motorists involved in the violation.

He detailed accidents and their consequences with the motorists at theChinthamani junction due to not wearing seat belts, two-wheeler riders and pillion riders not wearing helmets,motorists crossing the borderline at signals, two-wheelers going on triples, and speeding. He handed over leaflet on the rules of the road.

Steps were taken to create awareness through NSS students of Ratnam College of Arts and Science College by distributing pamphlets to the public on traffic norms. The Commissioner has directed to conduct such awareness drives at all the major junctions in the city.
