The Minister of Tourism in Tamil Nadu presented the scholarship cheque of ₹ 17,60,000 to the girl students studying at the government school, on behalf of a private company.
Coimbatore:A private company in Coimbatore organized an event to distribute scholarships to government school girls in the city. TN Tourism Minister presented a cheque to the beneficiaries.
Tourism Minister Dr. Mathiventhan presented scholarships to 352 needy girls studying in government schools on behalf of the Coimbatore Malabar Gold branch.
The Malabar Gold and Diamonds, a private gold company, is headquartered in Kerala. On behalf of the Coimbatore branch, a scholarship programme was conducted at R.S. Puram Corporation Auditorium, Coimbatore. Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister Dr. Mathiventhan was the chief guest for the occasion.
Minister Dr. Mathivanthan presented cheques worth ₹ 17,60,000 to 352 girl students studying at the government schools and subsequently, cheques worth ₹ 60-lakhs will be issued to 1,200 girls.
Coimbatore District Collector GS Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara, District Principal Education Officer Geetha, and others were present on the occasion.
