MLA requests Deputy Corporation Commissioner to immediately implement the agreements for road works released during the last AIADMK regime.
Coimbatore: AIADMK MLA Amman Arjunan, PRG Arunkumar and Dhamodran met the Coimbatore Commissioner.
The MLAs have requested the Coimbatore Deputy Corporation Commissioner to immediately implement the agreements for road works released during the last AIADMK regime. AIADMK MLAs said that the AIADMK office bearers had visited the corporation office to submit the relevant documents as minister appointed for Coimbatore Minister Senthil Balaji had said that there were no proper documents regarding the agreements.
As many as 119 contract works were requested during the last regime at a cost of Rs 3,133-crore 44-lakhs for basic works in the Corporation areas. Further, AIADMK legislators alleged that the present government had scrapped 541 contract works released by the AIADMK regime. They also blamed the stopping on essential works for the people and the public suffering as most of the roads in the Coimbatore area are filled with potholes due to the monsoon.
