The local police arrested three men in the city after receiving a secret tip-off on a ladies hostel indulging in prostitution and rescued three women.
Coimbatore: Three men were arrested in the Saravanampatti area of Coimbatore for allegedly running a prostitution center in a ladies’ hostel.
Saravanampatti Police Inspector, Kandasamy received a mysterious tip-off on a sex racket at the Aishwarya Ladies Hostel functioning near the junction of Chinnavedampatti Thudiyalur Road next to Saravanampatti. The hostel was being run by Sikander Badshah of Theni. The Inspector went on to raid the hostel and busted Buddeshwar (28) of Orissa, Stephen Raj (28) of Podanur and Gautham (22) of Rameshwaram who were allegedly part of the crime.
Subsequently, the Saravanampatti police arrested the trio and rescued a 24-year old woman from Uttar Pradesh, a 26-year old woman from Delhi and a 23-year old woman who was involved in prostitution. The three women were later sent to their homes.
