Corporation Commissioner inspected the construction of underground sewerage near Ramanathapuram signal, construction of main pipeline and construction of waste tank at Singanallur under ward 66.
Coimbatore: Raja Gopal Sunkara, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Coimbatore, personally visited and inspected the East Zone of the Corporation.

He inspected the construction of underground sewerage near Ramanathapuram Signal, Ward 65, East Zone, Coimbatore Corporation and construction of main pipeline, construction of waste tank at Singanallur, Ward 66.

He also visited and inspected the test run of the septic tank in Ward 59.

Following this, the Corporation Commissioner personally visited and inquired about the use of the treated water used for agriculture by the waste farm. Subsequently, under the Sewerage Project-3 in the East Zone of Coimbatore Corporation, work is being carried out to construct a 221-km long underground sewerage pipeline from Maniyakaranpalayam to Ondiputhur at an estimated cost of Rs. 143-crore. Currently, work is being carried out on Trichy Road for a distance of 5 km. As part of this project, the work of laying the main pipe of the underground sewer at a distance of 2-km has been completed. He also visited the site of the 24X7 pipeline and the site of the 3-km pipeline.
In addition, construction work of the main pipeline for the currently completed underground sewer at Ondiputhur, Nesavalar Colony is completed. The Corporation Commissioner directed the Corporation Engineers to take immediate steps to make the present test run and provide connectivity to 2,300 flats and then bring it into public use.

Similarly, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the test run in the underground sewer junction waste tank near the Jaisanthi Theater under Ward 59, East Zone, Coimbatore.

Later, he instructed the engineers to immediately overhaul the roads by overseeing the location of the Itteri Road main pipeline in the town under Coimbatore Corporation East Zone Ward 61.

In addition, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the work of setting up the Kallimadai Junction Co-operative under Corporation East Zone Ward 66. During the study, City Engineer (P) Ramasamy, East Zone Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumar Rathinam, Executive Engineer (Sewerage Project) Umadevi, Assistant Executive Engineer Sasipriya, Assistant Engineer Sundarajan, Zonal Health Officer Murugan, Assistant Engineers Ezhil, Ferman Ali and all the officers of the corporation were present.
