Employee Provident Fund Organization invites employees for E-nomination, a special drive celebrating 75th Independence year.
Coimbatore: The Employee Provident Fund Organization invites employees to file e-nominations.
A press release issued from the organization, it is stated,
“Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (Celebration of 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence) launched by the Central Government, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has taken an initiative to encourage all employees (members of the EPF Scheme) to file their E-Nomination. With this facility, the members can file their nominations online. The nomination can also be updated online by the member at any time.
This facility can be availed by EPF Members if their mobile number is linked with UAN and Aadhaar verification of their UAN is also complete. The registration process is user-friendly as the member can log in to the Member Interface of Unified Portal upon which a pop-up window will be displayed to file E-Nomination. The important thing to remember while filing E-Nomination is that the member should have his/her nominees' Aadhaar number and their scanned passport size photograph (should not exceed 100 KB) readily available with them before logging in. The system will guide the member till the process is completed by validation through OTP sent to the member's Aadhaar registered mobile.
A readily available E-Nomination in the system enables members/beneficiaries to file online claims particularly pension claims at the time of retirement, without any further documentation. The nominees of the member who has completed E-Nomination can also withdraw the EPF savings without the hassle by filing an online claim, in case of the sudden unfortunate demise of the member.
All EPF Members are therefore advised to file their E-Nomination through the Member Interface of Unified Portal immediately. Further, all EPF members are also advised to get basic KYC details like Aadhaar and Bank account seeded to their UAN, so that they can avail online services from EPFO."
