A volleyball tournament is underway in Pollachi, in which 15 teams from colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University participated.
Pollachi: A Volleyball tournament is in process for college girls in Pollachi. 15 teams from Bharathiar university affiliated colleges are participating.
The volleyball competition for women from the colleges constituted to Bharathiar University is being held at the Nachimuthu Gowder Mahalingam College on Pollachi Palakkad Road, starting from Wednesday.
Teams from 15 Colleges from various districts including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur, and Erode are playing. Out of the 15, four winning teams will be selected in the knock-out series and the league matches will be played on Thursday.
The competition coordinators said that 12 best performers will be selected and will be given an opportunity to play in the South Indian level volleyball tournament at SRM College, in Chennai on the 13th representing Bharathiar University constituent college team.
The games are being witnessed with much thrill at the tournament ground as the players entice the game.
