Public transport service restarts between Tamil Nadu and Kerala

The public, traders and workers are happy that the public transport service to Tamil Nadu and Kerala has re-started after being halted for one-and-a-half years. They said that they were having difficulty in getting to the urban areas.


Coimbatore: Buses have started operating on the Pollachi to Kerala route. This had made the merchants happy. Public transport service between Tamil Nadu and Kerala was suspended due to the threat of coronavirus.

As a result, traders and workers in both the states were subjected to various difficulties. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has ordered to start public transport service from Tamil Nadu to Kerala from today. Following this, the eight-lane transport service from Pollachi to Gopalapuram, Govindapuram, Meenatchipuram and Nadupuni was started from today.



The public, traders and workers are happy that the public transport service to Tamil Nadu and Kerala has resumed after a gap of one-and-a-half years.



They said that they were having difficulty in getting to the urban areas as the bus was operating up to the Kerala border and they are happy that the bus service has started operating now. It is to be noted that private buses are not operated between the two states.
