The City Crime Branch police who registered a case in this regard arrested Sathyamoorthy and Kannan. They were later produced in court and remanded in custody.
Coimbatore: Denston (46) is from Ganapathy, Coimbatore is a real estate agent, according to a complaint lodged by him with the Coimbatore City Crime Branch Police.
Sathyamoorthy, (50), from Coimbatore, owns a house in Ram Nagar. He contracted him to sell the house for Rs.95 lakh. He then paid Rs.30 lakh in cash in advance.
He was with his friend Kannan (40) at the time. He said he would give the rest of the money when he buys the house. But Sathyamoorthy sold his house to Kannan and Kannan has mortgaged the house to a private bank. Shocked by this he asked them to return my money or sell the house to him. But they have committed fraud by not returning Rs.30 lakh. So he demanded action against both of them.
