Coimbatore: Even as two youth from Rajasthan attempted to rob a SBI ATM in the Chettipalayam area of Coimbatore, an automatic text message alerted the SBI Head Office in Mumbai.

The office staff immediately alerted the Chettipalayam police who were able to nab the miscreants.
Sub-Inspector Muthukumar immediately caught both the youth who had tried to open the locker at the SBI ATM center. During the investigation, the two arrested were identified as Shakil (18) and Khalid (28) from Rajasthan who after unloading the lorry at the Amazon company godown in Coimbatore, withdrew Rs. 20,000 from a SBI ATM in Chettipalayam.

It was later discovered that Khalid had asked Shakil to keep watch outside the ATM while he attempted to open the ATM locker with a forged key that he had already made for the robbery.
