There was a stir at the Tirupur District Collector's office as a person carried banner threatening to cut off Tirupur North MLA Vijayakumar's hands.
Tirupur: Nagakumar (50) is from Nathampalayam area next to Tirupur Kanakkampalayam.
He lived in the house of Velusamy. In June last year, all the items in his house were stolen and he lodged a complaint with the Perumanallur police. The Perumanallur police registered a case against the owner of the house.
However, it is reported that the Tirupur North AIADMK MLA Vijayakumar instructed the Perumanallur police not to arrest them and the police did not arrest them. However, it was agreed that if the case was withdrawn, they would buy and return all the items stolen from the house. Relying on it he withdrew the case on September 30 last year but his belongings have not been returned to him yet.
No action has been taken even after the complaint with the District Collector's Office and the District Superintendent of Police on several occasions in this regard. So Nagakumar came to the Tirupur District Collector's Office today with a banner saying that he was going to cut off the hand of the Tirupur North MLA who was preventing him from taking action against the culprits. The police then immediately took him away for questioning.
